Vice- Chairman Mr Jayadev Galla participating in various forums of Energy, Chemistry and Mining Industries
Hyderabad, Jan 24th 2018:- The World Economic Forum’s 48th Annual Meeting will take place on 22-26 January 2018 in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, bringing together a record number of heads of state, government and international organizations alongside leaders from business, civil society, academia, the arts and media.
Convening participants under the theme “Creating a Shared Future in a Fractured World” the meeting will focus on finding ways to reaffirm international cooperation on crucial shared interests, such as international security, the environment and the global economy. The meeting comes at a time when geostrategic competition between states is generally seen to be on the rise.
Amara Raja Group is participating this year as an official member for the first time. Mr Jayadev Galla, Vice- Chairman, Amara Raja Group is already in Davos representing Amara Raja group at the World Economic Forum. He will be joining 130 more CEO’s from India which is by far the biggest delegation that WEF has seen from India. He will be actively participating in various sessions related to the Energy, Chemistry and Mining Industries of which he is a Governing Council member. He is also being invited by Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion to interact with Prime Minister of India, Mr Narendra Modi at Davos on 23rd Jan 2018.
Mr Jayadev Galla is also speaking as part of panel discussion on “Unlocking Value from Lost Resources” at the forum on 23rd Jan 2018. This session is associated with the System Initiative on Shaping the Future of Environment and Natural Resource Security, the System Initiative on Shaping the Future of Energy, the System Initiative on the Future of Economic Progress, and the Global Battery Alliance.
